I live in an older home. Why should I upgrade my electrical service?

Answer: Safety and Convenience. Today's lifestyle requires more circuits in the electical panel. When a circuit shuts down repeatedly, it is a warning that should not go ignored. Some people replace a blown fuse with a fuse that is too large - the circuit overloads and now it is a fire hazard. In fact, some insurance companies are requiring an updated electrical service.

Why do I sometimes have outlets that don't work in my bathroom or garage?

Answer: If the outlet is a GFI protected outlet, that's the first thing to check - is it tripped? If so, it simply needs to be reset. It's the red button in the middle of the outlet. In addition to the bathroom and garage, kitchen, utility rooms and exterior outlets will be GFI protected outlets as well.
